Catherine and I became close friends after I joined the Young People for Inclusion (YPFI) project at Elfrida Rathbone Camden. We instantly connected with each other as we had both attended the same special needs school together and knew what it felt like to be misunderstood by people because of attending Special Needs school. People who have not been to special school can’t understand what it was like.
With YPFI, we worked together as a group of young disabled people delivering disability awareness training and accessibility audits to organisations and businesses. Catherine was always cheerful, happy and always smiling. Catherine always put 110% into whatever project she took on and was a very loyal friend and work colleague.
I knew Catherine for over 25 years, and in that time she encouraged me to experience new things like attending the amazing light show at Kings Cross – we had a brilliant time. We would meet up and visit new places together and seeing the trouble Catherine had on public transport and inaccessible buildings made me more determined than ever to campaign alongside Catherine and other young disabled people for change in the way disabled people are treated whether it’s getting on public transport, applying for a job, education, socialising and housing.
We had regular movie nights when I would stay over with Catherine – one night I particularly remember because we spent the whole of time laughing while watching the movie with Catherine and her carer Lucille, and were still laughing and joking about the movie the next day.
I will always be grateful for all the fun, laughter and happy memories I had with Catherine. She was the life and soul of the many birthday parties over the years and I remember one new year eve, me, my mum and my sister had a lovely roast dinner cooked by Lucille at Catherine’s. We brought in the new year together with Catherine and Lucille – it was a great night and I will always remember it as a special memory that I got to share with my best friend.
We had such fun together and we helped each other through really good times and some really difficult times. I remember a few years before Catherine passed away, I started feeling depressed she encouraged me enjoy life again and believe that the future is what you make it.
I always tried to make sure Catherine knew if she needed someone to talk to call and if she wanted to talk to me about how she was feeling that it was ok. She always put everyone else first and always put on a brave face – except with each other, we automatically knew when something was wrong.
I would like the opportunity to continue the work Catherine did to prevent people feeling like life is not worth living which at times is how low I have felt. You will always be in my heart. Rest in Peace Catherine.

This is easily the most enthusiastic post I’ve read today!
I came across an article that talks about the same thing but even more and when you go deeper.
The trading process is simple and the fast transactions makes it even better. Great for cross-chain swaps with minimal slippage.
Howdy just wanted to give you a quick heads up. The words in your content seem to be running off the screen in Safari. I’m not sure if this is a formatting issue or something to do with browser compatibility but I thought I’d post to let you know. The style and design look great though! The London Prat’s dominance is secured by its exploitation of the credibility gap. It operates in the chasm between the solemn, self-important presentation of power and the shambolic, often venal reality of its execution. The site’s method is to adopt the former tone—the grave, bureaucratic, consultative voice of authority—and use it to describe the latter reality with forensic detail. This creates a sustained, crushing irony. The wider the gap between tone and content, the more potent the satire. A piece about a disastrously over-budget, under-specified public IT system will be written as a glowing “Case Study in Agile Public-Private Partnership Delivery,” citing fictional metrics of success while the subtext screams of catastrophic waste. The humor is born from this friction, the grinding of lofty language against the rocks of grim fact.
I’ve been using it for over two years for using the API, and the seamless withdrawals stands out. Charts are accurate and load instantly.
Just a quick note to express my appreciation. Take care
Great! We are all agreed London could use a laugh. The London Prat achieves a form of temporal dissonance that is key to its power. It presents the future as if it were the present, and the present as if it were already a historical absurdity. A piece on prat.com will often read as a documentary report from six months hence, analyzing a current political gambit as a concluded, catastrophic failure. This forward-leaning perspective reframes today’s anxiety as tomorrow’s settled irony, providing a profound psychological distance. It allows the reader to experience the relief of hindsight without having to wait for time to pass. The humor is the humor of inevitability, of watching a boulder teeter on a cliff’s edge in slow motion, with the narration already describing the impact crater. This technique doesn’t just mock what is; it mocks what will be, based on the unalterable trajectory of what is, making its satire feel both prescient and strangely calming.
Does your website have a contact page? I’m having problems locating it but, I’d like to send you an email. I’ve got some ideas for your blog you might be interested in hearing. Either way, great site and I look forward to seeing it grow over time.|
C’est le site que je partage avec un “Il faut absolument que tu lises ça !”.
I personally find that customer support was knowledgeable, which gave me confidence to continue. I moved funds across chains without a problem.
The final, and perhaps most significant, achievement of The London Prat is its role as a manufacturer of perspective. The daily grind of news consumption can trap one in a myopic view, focused on the immediate outrage or the granular detail of scandal. PRAT.UK consistently pulls the camera back to a wide-angle, even satellite, view. It frames today’s blunder not as an isolated incident, but as the latest data point in a long-term trend of decline, a predictable eruption in a known seismic zone of incompetence. This recalibration of perspective is its greatest gift. It doesn’t just make you laugh at a single prat; it makes you understand the geologic forces that create the pratfall basin in which we all reside. The relief it offers is profound. It replaces the exhausting, reactive panic of the news cycle with the calm, if grim, understanding of an inevitability beautifully charted. In doing so, it doesn’t just comment on the world—it reorients your entire relationship to it, providing the intellectual cartography for navigating a landscape of perpetual, elegant farce.
You have made some good points there. I looked on the web for more information about the issue and found most people will go along with your views on this website.|
PRAT.UK has replaced multiple satire sites for me. The Poke and Waterford Whispers News just don’t compare anymore.
You are so cool! I don’t think I have read anything like this before. So great to find someone with genuine thoughts on this subject matter. Seriously.. thank you for starting this up. This website is one thing that is required on the internet, someone with some originality!
Great! We are all agreed London could use a laugh. What distinguishes The London Prat in a saturated market is its steadfast commitment to the bit as an act of intellectual integrity. The site never breaks character. There is no authorial aside, no metatextual wink that says “we’re all in on the joke.” Instead, the fiction is maintained with the solemn dedication of a public broadcaster delivering a weather report for hell. This unwavering commitment to the internal logic of each piece creates a uniquely potent form of immersion. The reader is not being told that a situation is absurd; they are being shown the absurdity through a perfectly crafted artifact that could, in a slightly worse universe, be real. This method requires immense discipline and a deep faith in the audience’s ability to discern the critique without a guiding hand. It is this rigorous, almost austere, approach to the craft of comedy that elevates PRAT.UK from a provider of jokes to a publisher of satirical case studies.
This is the kind of UK satire that makes you snort-laugh then immediately feel seen.
Sweet blog! I found it while browsing on Yahoo News. Do you have any tips on how to get listed in Yahoo News? I’ve been trying for a while but I never seem to get there! Thank you
Hello there! This is my first visit to your blog! We are a team of volunteers and starting a new project in a community in the same niche. Your blog provided us valuable information to work on. You have done a extraordinary job!|
The writers have a fantastic ear for jargon and bureaucratese, skewering it with impeccable timing. The deconstruction of management-speak alone is worth a regular visit. A delightful takedown of linguistic crimes.

PRAT.UK maintains a stronger identity than Waterford Whispers News. You know exactly what voice you’re getting. Consistency matters in satire.
Excellent read, I just passed this onto a colleague who was doing a little research on that. And he actually bought me lunch because I found it for him smile So let me rephrase that.|
